Orange County-based multi-media journalist whose passionate about the written word, seeking the truth, and reporting on grassroots issues, hot spots and unique eats, and people whose stories may otherwise go unnoticed. Matched with my curiosity, drive, and gift of gab, I am committed to the news industry and telling meaningful, accurate stories to empower the informed.

In fall 2021, I interned for Junior High L.A. as a magazine writer and social media coordinator. Here, I assisted the CEO with scheduling and producing social media projects, wrote Instagram captions that matched the brand’s message and voice, engaged with followers on all social channels, and participated in A LOT of sarcastic banter. 

 

As an intern who specialized in arts and entertainment, I regularly pitched and executed innovative ways to boost Junior High’s Patreon and social media traffic. I kickstarted ‘69 Questions With Junior High’—a mock-up of Vogue’s 73 Questions—in which I interviewed well-known L.A. artists, created packages with supporting

b-roll, and advertised it on social media. I also pitched and wrote feature articles that adhered to the brand. My last piece was a Q&A article with Sofia Bryant, an up-and-coming actress who has starred in The Good Wife, Bluebloods, and Netflix’s hit series, I’m Not Okay With This.

 

In addition to my role at Junior High, I was an editorial intern at Orange Coast Magazine. It was a lovely experience writing listicles and quick-turnaround stories for a niche audience as it gave me real-world experience in the digital media industry. Most of my responsibilities consisted of collaborating with editors during pitch meetings, using search engine optimization to increase online viewership, fact-checking copy, and writing articles for print and web on people, places, and events of interest in Orange County, California.

In my free time, I enjoy reading mystery novels & glossy fashion magazines, trying on heels I most definitely can't afford, scream-singing throwbacks on the 101 (it's the only way to stay sane), and practicing Yoga Sculpt! I also waste a lot of time researching useless facts...
